Sulzer Metco offers a number of different anti-bond coating systems designed to suit specific applications. For example, thin film coatings applied to injection screws and moulds offer a combination of wear resistance and anti-stick properties. This results in better mould filling, surface finish and easier ejection of the part from the mould.

Anti-bond, or anti-adhesion, coating systems consist of a thermal sprayed metallic or ceramic coating over coated with polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). The wear resistance of the bottom layer in this coating system provides an advantage over a conventional PTFE coating in terms of service life and durability. This type of coating system is used in the food, paper, printing and packaging industries.
