To support your thermal spray activities, Sulzer Metco offers auxiliary supplies that include grits for surface preparation, maskants and post-coat sealer materials.

Pre-Coat Auxiliary Supplies:
Sulzer Metco offers our Metcolite alumina blasting media (grit) in standard grain sizes designed to ensure a clean and consistent surface profile on your part prior to applying the thermal spray coating. Our grits are high quality, with sharp edges and high hardness to last for many blast cycles.

To prevent the application of coating in areas where it is not wanted, we offer several different masking options. Our masking tapes are specifically designed to withstand the rigors of the thermal spray process, while removing cleanly after coating. To resist the high velocity impingement of HVOF sprayed coatings, our HP Flame Spray Masking Tape is the correct choice. For more complex geometries, we offer several different liquid masking products, which can be easily applied and either wash off or peel off without any remaining residue.

Post-Coat Auxiliary Supplies:
To seal the inherent porosity of thermal spray coatings and further enhance corrosion resistance, our Metcoseal portfolio of sealer materials have been designed for various applications and service conditions. These materials are simple to apply, with some products only requiring an air dry and some that require a low temperature cure cycle in an air oven.
